The Detroit Pistons (37-41) officially can no longer make the playoffs. The Philadelphia 76ers (48-30) beat the Pistons 115-108 on Wednesday to push their winning streak to 12 games and sweep the season series with Detroit for the first time since the 2000-2001 season.
The Sixers, playing without starters Joel Embiid and Dario Saric, snapped the Pistons’ five game winning streak with great games from sharpshooters J.J. Redick and Marco Belinelli. Philadelphia also collected 11 steals and forced 17 Detroit turnovers, scoring 26 points off them.
The 76ers were in control all night, despite playing on the second leg of a back to back set.
