The Detroit Pistons, not expected to be a major player in free agency, added another complementary piece on Monday, signing combo guard Jose Calderon.
The move was announced on Twitter by Priority Sports, which represents Calderon.
It's a one-year deal for the veteran minimum of $2.4 million, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.
The 6-3 Calderon, who turns 37 on Sept. 28, appeared in 28 games for the Pistons in 2012-13, averaging 11.6 points and 6.6 assists and shooting 52 percent from 3-point range.
Calderon played 57 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers last season, starting 32.
