Detroit Pistons‘ assistant coach Tim Hardaway was pulled over by Beverly Hills, Michigan, police on April 23rd as he turned into his driveway. He was spotted speeding by police on 13 Mile near Lahser Road.

Hardaway refused a breathalyzer when he was pulled over and officers instead obtained a warrant to draw a blood sample. The sample showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.17 percent. That’s more than double the legal limit and qualifies it as “super-drunk”, which kicks in harsher penalties.
John Wisely of the Detroit Free Press goes on to say:
Because he refused the breath test, Hardaway’s license was suspended for a year, beginning July 9.
