Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons has had a hot start to the 2015-16 season, and the NBA has taken notice. On Monday afternoon, the NBA announced their Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week for games played between Tuesday, October 27th, and Sunday, November 1st.
Drummond was named the Eastern Conference’s player of the week, while Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors was named in the Western Conference.
So far this season, Drummond is averaging 18.7 points and 16.3 rebounds per game. That rebound total leads the NBA to date. He’s also averaging two blocks per game thus far, and perhaps the most impressive number of all is the free throw shooting.
