During a typical season, NBA teams would have scouts and executives scattered around the country, checking out college prospects in the NCAA Tournament. After the first cases of COVID-19 hit the NBA and began spreading across the country, the NCAA Tournament was canceled on March 12.
That means no regional finals this weekend. No Final Four next weekend. That also means no scouting players in person, during peak times such as conference tournaments or critical games as the college basketball season winds down.
