Most, not all, NBA front offices have become increasingly good at not wagging their tongues. It’s a fairly recent phenomenon. Ten years ago, there was credible information to be had leaking out of probably 50 percent of NBA front offices. Conservative estimate. Now? There aren’t a handful across the league that let information out unless they want it out there.
So as the information streams have expanded – thank you, internet – the amount of garbage you need to discard to get to a nugget of truth has exploded.
There are too many wild cards in tonight’s draft to know with any certainty what’s real and what isn’t among the avalanche of buzz out there.
