Crazy eight: Cavs add to Pistons' free fall

Cleveland — After their 28-point drubbing in November, the Pistons weren’t going to have a repeat performance in their first rematch against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In the midst of a seven-game losing streak, the Pistons gave a better effort — taking a five-point lead late in the third quarter. The Cavs answered with a 10-0 run and steamrolled their way to a 121-104 victory over the Pistons on Sunday night at Quicken Loans Arena.

The loss is the eighth straight and 11th in the last 13 games for the Pistons (22-26), who have a home-and-home rematch with the Cavs on Tuesday at Little Caesars Arena.
