DETROIT - City Council voted 7-2 on Tuesday to approve a $34.5-million taxpayer contribution to the Detroit Pistons' move into Little Caesars Arena.
The vote came less than 24 hours after a federal judge declined on Monday to issue a restraining order against more taxpayer assistance to the arena project.
