FAST BREAKDOWN
Three quick observations from Wednesday night’s 97-83loss to the Utah Jazz at The Palace
SLAM DUNK – If it’s true that making shots energizes a team, then missing them at the rate the Pistons missed them against Utah – and they were missing open jump shots by feet, not inches – apparently can suck the life out of a team. The more the Pistons missed, the more sluggish they appeared. In a first half in which the Pistons shot 34 percent, they shot 2 of 19 on shots outside the paint.
