The Detroit Pistons’ bench has been a mess throughout the first quarter of the season.
They’ve been so bad that Stan Van Gundy has had to keep at least one starter on the floor at all times.
They hope getting Brandon Jennings and Jodie Meeks back will make a big difference, but neither is a lock to return in the next month. Even when they do return, neither is a lock to be at full strength–Van Gundy has even left the door open for some D-League action.
With Jennings and Meeks still out, Van Gundy doesn’t have many more options to turn to.
