AUBURN HILLS - Henry Ellenson spent much of the summer on basketball courts from Las Vegas to Los Angeles to Panama City, working on skill development.
That's exactly what the 6-11 power forward for the Detroit Pistons needed to do heading into his pivotal third NBA season.
Ellenson didn't play much last season, didn't show the growth the team hoped to see. But he's getting a fresh start under a new coaching staff, and Dwane Casey said the team's 2016 first-round pick has taken good steps.
"He played in L.A., got beat up a few times," Casey said.
