Beard: Green’s fire won’t be suppressed by suspension

With less than three minutes left in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Draymond Green did his job.

He didn’t have to make a basket, grab a rebound or block a shot.

He just stood up — to LeBron James.

The Warriors had a comfortable 10-point lead when James and Green got tangled up and Green fell to the floor, but James stepped over him — and Green retaliated.

And because of that, Green was suspended for Game 5.

But that’s not the point.

The point is the Warriors and Stephen Curry have their man.
