During today’s media session following the Detroit Pistons’ practice, Stan Van Gundy shed some light on the injuries currently plaguing the team. He announced that starting shooting guard, Avery Bradley, would be “shut down” for at least a week with a “pubic stress injury.”
In addition to being one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, Avery Bradley has been an integral part of the Pistons’ offense. He is often the beneficiary of the new dribble hand-off motion offense that Stan Van Gundy has instilled this season – often coming off of screens and nailing mid-range jumpers or cutting to the basket.
