FLINT, MI - Believe it or not, Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond didn't create his signature Halo Burger to flex his muscles as an athlete.
The Dre Burger was made for a cause.
On Wednesday, Halo Burger announced that the partnership has raised $5,070.65 from Drummond's burger sales in May to benefit the Special Olympics of Flint.
Halo Burger donated $1 from each of the 2,891 Dre Burgers sold - plus collected another $2,179.65 in donations - for a total of $5,070.65.
Drummond is Halo Burgers's first spokesman and ambassador.
On Saturday, May 6, the one-time NBA All-Star visited the Fenton location for the official launch of his creation.
