A change at point guard, but slow starts plague Pistons again in loss at Chicago

FAST BREAKDOWN

Three quick observations from Wednesday night’s 117-95 loss to the Chicago Bulls at United Center

SLAM DUNK – If two losses in two nights to start a four-game stretch of road games hasn’t mortally wounded the Pistons’ playoff chances, it has at least put them on life support. Their loss at Chicago – notable for Stan Van Gundy’s decision to start Ish Smith over Reggie Jackson at point guard – leaves them at 34-38 and now tied with Chicago and out of playoff position behind both Milwaukee (two games) and Miami (1½ games) in the hunt for the East’s last two postseason berths.
