The Detroit Pistons made a hard push to land head coach Monty Williams and it eventually paid off for both, as Williams signed a massive contract and Detroit got one of the most decorated coaches on the market.
Williams’ first hire was Stephen Silas, who was most recently the head coach of the Houston Rockets and was likely brought on to try and fix the Pistons’ woeful offense.
Now Williams and Troy Weaver have to fill out the rest of the staff and could look to bring in some assistant coaches that have connections to the team.
