The Detroit Pistons have selected Kentavious Caldwell-Pope with the eighth overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Caldwell-Pope is a shooter, as pure as they come. Don't be fooled by his seemingly average 18.5 points per game and 43.3 field goal percentage. At 6' 5" and 204 pounds, he has the size to shoot over many two-guards in the league, but he also is physical enough to swing to small forward. He's an above average on-ball defender, and given the total lack of talent that surrounded him at Georgia developed the ability to create his own shot.
