Detroit Pistons big man Greg Monroe will be one of the most sought-after free agents this offseason with several teams pursuing his services. Which teams have the best chance to land him?
3) San Antonio Spurs
San Antonio is in the market for a big man, and while they have their eyes set on LaMarcus Aldridge or Marc Gasol, Monroe is their backup plan. He's skilled offensively and would fit perfectly into head coach Gregg Popovich's offensive system, and playing for championships every year would be a welcome change for Monroe.
2) New York Knicks
The Knicks were connected to the Pistons center in sign-and-trade talks last year and trade rumors once again this year, but didn't have the means to make a deal with Detroit. The idea of being a building block in the Knick's Triangle offense and playing in New York City is very appealing to Monroe, but they're competing with another division rival for his services.
1) Boston Celtics
Monroe's evolving offensive arsenal and bruising work in the low post would be a perfect building block to work with going forward for a young Celtics team. Monroe isn’t a max player and would save Boston some money while still getting a really productive big man to go along with their young point guards.
