The Detroit Lions have gone through a youth movement upfront this offseason.
Gone are veterans Dominic Raiola and Rob Sims, replaced with second- and first-year players Travis Swanson and Laken Tomlinson, respectively.
If the projected starting lineup in September consists of Riley Reiff, Tomlinson, Swanson, Larry Warford and LaAdrian Waddle/Cornelius Lucas, Reiff, who’s entering year four in the NFL, will be the most veteran of the group.
The Lions are suddenly young upfront, and quarterback Matthew Stafford says that’s made them a very athletic group.
“They look extremely athletic,” he said after Thursday's open OTA practice.
