The Silverdome is heading for the wrecking ball this spring after years of disrepair, a disappeared roof, a gutted interior and a BMX biker who chose to ride through the wreckage.
But for decades, it was home to so many events, from a Pope's mass to Wrestlemania to the halycon day of the Detroit Lions in the Super Bowl era. With that in mind, I reached out to the public last night to ask them what they would remember the most from the Silverdome -- and in fairness I have no real memories since I didn't grow up in Michigan, having moved here in 2009 and been to the site only once, for a high school football camp.
