ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions gave Ernie Accorsi a pretty simple set of criteria for what they wanted in their next general manager.
"They wanted somebody who was going to come in here," Accorsi said, "and win."
Easier said than done in Detroit, which has won just one playoff game since 1957. But Accorsi thinks he found the guy who can do it in the Patriots' Bob Quinn.
So what makes Accorsi think a 39-year-old scout with no general manager experience can do what his previous 50 years worth of predecessors couldn't?
"He had a significant voice in a franchise that won two Super Bowls, and would have won two more if it wasn't for the quarterback I drafted," Accorsi quipped.
