The NFL announced on Wednesday that there will be an international game played in Såo Paulo in 2024. The teams for that game have yet to be announced, but there is a logical case to be made that the Detroit Lions could get that game.

In late 2021, the NFL began an international marketing rights program, granting teams access to specific regions of the globe for exclusive marketing opportunities. As of right now, only the Dolphins have laid claim to Brazil, making them a leading candidate to play in the 2024 contest there.
