Every week this spring, when the Detroit Lions wrapped up their organized team activity practices, Marvin Jones would race to the airport to catch a flight home to San Diego.
Plenty of NFL players commute to work in the offseason, spending weekends out of town with their families. But Jones had another reason to get home —to see the flag football team he helped coach with Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers.
