Arlington, TEXAS — Da’Shawn Hand came off the edge, shot to the quarterback and chopped the ball loose with the Detroit Lions up by a point and the Cowboys some 50 yards away from a chance to win the game.
The ball tumbled to the turf, squirting back toward the Lions’ end zone and, for a moment, you could see an entirely different kind of season unfolding.
Jump on that ball and the Lions win, climb back to .500 after an 0-2 start and return to Ford Field next week with a bit of momentum and something close to belief.
