Jerry Reichow put the finishing touches on the Lions’ 1957 championship game victory over the Cleveland Browns with a late touchdown pass to Hopalong Cassady, then spent most of the next six decades trying to beat his old team.
Reichow joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 1960, where he won another NFL title, and played four seasons for the Minnesota Vikings. When his playing days ended, Reichow went directly to the Vikings’ front office, where he served in a number of roles, and at 83 years old remains a consultant to the team.
