Starting fast.

It’s what every NFL offense preaches. And the Detroit Lions have started fast this season. They have scored seven of the past eight times they’ve touched the ball in the first quarter and they have taken double-digit leads in their past two games.

And yet — it’s been a struggle.

The Lions have eked out three-point wins against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles.
