Detroit really is the place to be lately, and if you need more proof, look no further than the grand re-opening of Michigan Central Station in Corktown.
Situated directly on Michigan Avenue in Detroit, Michigan Central sat dormant for decades before the Fords laid out their plans to bring the iconic building back to life back in 2018. Once a bustling train station that brought people into the city from far and wide, the last train left the station in 1988—one year before Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders would play his rookie season for our Detroit Lions.
