The Lions gave Hooker just over three quarters of play, offering some much-needed time on task for the second-year quarterback. He’s definitely made strides this offseason, but the fact that Detroit didn’t put Sudfeld out there with second and third-string offensive linemen seems to suggest he’s their initial backup.
