It's now officially the offseason for all 32 teams in the NFL which means the 2016 roster building process can begin.
If Denver's season finale Super Bowl win taught us anything, it's that defense does indeed win championships.
The Lions have the cap space, draft picks and some Pro Bowl-caliber players already in place to build a dominant defense if they choose to go that route.
One area the team will be targeting is depth, according to team president Rod Wood.
"Certainly there are things we need to improve on, particularly adding some depth so that we can sustain injuries because there are going to be injuries in this sport," Wood said Monday on the Frank Beckman Show on WJR.
