But nothing will change the fact that the officials overstepped their bounds, made an egregious call that cost the Lions an opportunity to win the football game, and everyone is left hand wringing until Detroit takes field against the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday—then it’s an opportunity to repeat the cycle all over again.
