DETROIT -- What a start to the Matt Patricia era.
He came to Detroit as a defensive guru, so it shouldn't be a surprise he opted to put his defense on the field after winning the opening coin flip Monday night against the Jets. And on the first play of the game, Quandre Diggs took a Sam Darnold pass back to the house.
Diggs, by the way, is playing just his sixth career game at safety. He now has four interceptions in those games, one touchdown and one $20 million extension. And so far, he looks like he's worth every penny.
