Just as it looked like the Detroit Lions offense had hit a wall against the New Orleans Saints, offensive coordinator Ben Johnson pulled out a brillian play that worked to perfection. After getting gifted a Derek Carr fumble, the Lions were down in the red zone. That’s when they dialed up an absolutely perfect reverse to second-year receiver Jameson Williams.
To say that play worked would be an understatement:
A fake to David Montgomery, an end around to Kalif Raymond turned into a reverse to Williams. Just an absolutely brilliant play call, and what a finish by Williams, who leaped from the 4-yard line to the end zone in one of the most athletic looking plays made by the Lions this season.
