Walker returns home to Louisiana to help flood victims

Tyrunn Walker spent his summers growing up at the rec center near his home in New Iberia, La., playing basketball, swimming and hanging out with friends until the sun went down.

He ate breakfast or lunch there – sometimes both – and his single mother never had to worry that her only son would stumble into trouble while she was at work.

The rec center – and New Iberia itself – were so much a part of Walker’s life that when the Detroit Lions defensive tackle heard the place was flooded to the point that cars were floating in the parking lot there last month, he had to do something to help.
