MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Vikings made their return to the playoffs last month for the first time since the 2012 season. They could be heading to Detroit later this year to end a longer absence from a prominent NFL event.
According to a report from the Sports Business Journal, television executives expect the NFL to schedule a Thanksgiving Day matchup between the Vikings and Detroit Lions. The game would mark the Vikings' first Thanksgiving appearance since the 2000 season, when they beat the Dallas Cowboys for the second time in three years on Thanksgiving Day.
