If you haven’t been watching the Detroit Lions’ mini-documentary series “Under the Helmet,” you’ve been seriously missing out. The 10-minute videos offer a unique look at Lions players in a way that you never get from a locker room interview or even a press conference.
The players are shockingly open, and it really gives you a new perspective on some of these players as fellow human beings. For example, Jarrad Davis spoke about the pain of growing up without the consistent presence of his father. Devon Kennard talked about his love for giving back to the community and the importance of faith in his life.
