Jahvid Best’s NFL career may be over, but he’s enjoying himself a nice little football resurgence in the American Flag Football League, which is currently enjoying its inaugural “US Open of Football” tournament. The tournament features one half of the bracket filled with amateur teams, while the other is filled with former NFL athletes.
On Saturday, the semifinals were held in Indianapolis, and Best’s team, Team Godspeed, led by former Seahawks quarterback Seneca Wallace, took down Team Ocho, headlined, obviously, by former Bengals receiver Chad Johnson.
Not only did Best’s team win, but the former Detroit Lions running back was key to their 28-12 victory.
