ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Tyrunn Walker had to get away. He needed to focus on himself, on getting back to being the player he felt he might be becoming. It was a month into the 2015 season when a chop block against Seattle broke the defensive tackle's left leg and dislocated his left ankle.
He needed surgery. His season was done. So he went home to Broussard, Louisiana -- away from the Lions, from his teammates and from everything surrounding football -- so he could start his long rehab process on his own. There was one caveat.
