The Lions officially placed tight end Brandon Pettigrew on injured reserve Tuesday, ending his seventh season in the league after he tore the ACL in his left knee Sunday in St. Louis.
To take his place on the active roster, the Lions signed veteran tight end Bear Pascoe after a workout in Allen Park.

Pascoe, 29, spent five seasons with the New York Giants and was most recently with Atlanta in 2014. He was in training camp with the Chicago Bears this season but was part of their final cuts.
He’s played in 82 career games with 34 starts.
