ATLANTA — Because he spent the majority of his career with one of the most stable franchises in the NFL, Charlie Batch never experienced the type of turnover Matthew Stafford has recently.
In 11 seasons with the Steelers, Batch had four different quarterback coaches – Tom Clements, Mark Whipple, Ken Anderson and Randy Fichtner – all for at least two consecutive years.
(Even in his four seasons with the Detroit Lions, Batch had just two position coaches - Jim Zorn and Kevin Higgins.
