On Monday, we polled Detroit Lions fans to see how many believed current interim coach Darrell Bevell would return as the team’s offensive coordinator—the position he held at the beginning of the 2020 season. Most of you—60 percent—said that you believed that would not happen. I think that’s a fairly safe assumption to make. Interviewing for the head coaching job, then being asked to take a step back and be the offensive coordinator of the team is a bit... awkward. Chances are he’ll take a job elsewhere, even if the Lions express interest in bringing him back, which wouldn’t surprise me at all.
