Trey Flowers: Detroit Lions' defense can be 'whatever we want to be’

There’s confidence, of course. But mostly there’s work. Lots and lots of work.

When it comes to how defensive end Trey Flowers sizes up the Detroit Lions’ defense, work is the word that passes through his lips most often.

He’s working. They’re working. They’re ready to work. There’s still some work left.

“We’re heading in the right direction,” Flowers said Tuesday. “We continue to work and every time you’ve got a group of guys that’s ready to come to work, it’s always a positive.
