Detroit Lions' Matt Patricia talks with the media about, among other topics, wide receiver Kenny Golladay. Dave Birkett, Detroit Free Press
The Detroit Lions didn't have a great defensive performance in last week's exhibition-opening loss to the Oakland Raiders.
They gave up 147 yards on the ground, were lucky it wasn't more after a long Marshawn Lynch touchdown got called back on penalty, and looked slower than I remember in the back seven.
Whether it was in reaction to that or just the natural progression of things, Lions coach Matt Patricia shook up his first-team defense on Day Whatever It Is of training camp (they all run together at this point of the summer).
