ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions have officially ruled out T.J. Lang for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Lang did not practice this week while dealing with a back injury, something that also cost him a game last year. He also missed games with brain and foot injuries, and was limited in others during an injury-marred 2017.
Now just two weeks into 2018, he's right back on the mend.
Kenny Wiggins is expected to start for him. He started 16 games at guard for the Chargers last year, but struggled. He was ranked 70th out of 77 qualifying players at the position according to ProFootballFocus.
