Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson is one of five players up for Pepsi’s Week 1 Rookie of the Week honors.
Hockenson made his NFL debut a memorable one, pulling in six catches for 131 yards and a touchdown that put the Lions up 24-6 early in the fourth quarter. Just about every one of his catches were memorable, as four of the six went for 20 yards or more.
Hockenson is up against Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (29-of-54 for 308 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT), Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown (4 catches, 147 yards, 2 TDs), Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew (22-of-25 for 275 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) and Washington receiver Terry McLaurin (5 catches, 125 yards, 1 TD).
