Tim Wright started his first business when he was 13, cutting his friends’ hair in his mother’s kitchen for $5 a pop.
Now, with the help of the inaugural NFL Business Academy, the Detroit Lions’ restricted free agent tight end is hoping to take his barbershop national.
Wright was one of 33 current and former NFL players who, along with several of their significant others, took part this week in the five-day program through Michigan's Ross School of Business.
Former Lions Cliff Avril and Lawrence Jackson and Birmingham Detroit Country Day product Jonas Gray also attended the seminar that covered topics ranging from real estate to product design to franchising.
