For one of the few times in the year, the Lions have shifted gears and are sitting in neutral.
The final practice of mandatory minicamp Thursday closed out the offseason program. It won’t be until the first phase of training camp starts that the Lions will be involved in any organized team activities.
As they take their break, the Lions can look on an offseason that was productive in most days as they work to make the playoffs for a second straight year after qualifying as a wild card with an 11-5 record last year.
Just because there are no practices and no action on the field doesn’t mean there won’t be roster additions – and deletions – before training camp opens.
