One of the nice revelations during an otherwise tough game to watch was Detroit Lions running back Zach Zenner. In the fourth quarter of their win over the Arizona Cardinals, the Lions deployed Zenner in their backfield and it was extremely effective. In the final quarter alone, Zenner had 11 rushes for 52 yards and the game-sealing touchdown. Most of Zenner’s yards were hard-fought and he ran with the kind of decisiveness that we rarely see out of the man he replaced in the game, LeGarrette Blount.
Zenner has always been a fan favorite for his tough rushing style and his feel-good story.
