The Detroit Lions finally got some good injury news with week. Linebackers Trevor Bates and Devon Kennard—both of whom missed Week 13’s game against the Rams—returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday’s walkthrough.
Particularly big is the return of Kennard, who missed the second half of the Rams game after suffering a hip injury. Prior to the injury, Kennard had played in at least 95 percent of defensive snaps in 10 of the Lions’ 11 games, including seven games in which he didn’t come off the field once.
In more concerning news, Darius Slay popped up on the injury report yet again with an ankle injury.
