It was a mix of good news/bad news for the Detroit Lions with Thursday’s injury report prior to Week 8’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The good news is that starting cornerback Desmond Trufant finally returned to practice after missing the last two weeks with a lingering hamstring injury from the season opener. Trufant was still limited on Thursday, so he may not be ready quite yet.
The bad news is that three new names appeared on Thursday’s injury report: left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), running back Adrian Peterson (abdomen) and nickel cornerback Darryl Roberts (groin/hip).
