After making headlines with a breakout performance in his first career NFL start, D’Andre Swift may not have an encore this week. The Detroit Lions running back did not practice on Thursday because he is currently suffering from a concussion. Given that he’s in the concussion protocol this late in the week, it seems unlikely he’ll play this week against the Carolina Panthers.
Last week against the Washington Football Team, Swift had a season-high 16 carries for 81 yards and pulled in five catches for another 68. It seemed the coaching staff had finally given Swift the reigns of the offense.
